Most of the time, I don’t get to the end of the week completely exhausted. But I’ve had my share of those crazy weeks. And last week was no exception. On the upside, I had a productive week with several tooth extraction procedures, implants, and cleaning treatments. I also got several happy praises from patients, which surely put a smile to the whole team’s face.
But the downside is I forgot my son’s soccer game last Friday. I was wrapping up after a day of cleaning teeth and doing implants, sipping a hot cup of coffee in my office when the phone rang. It was my wife screaming in my ear asking where I was.
Of all things to forgot, why does it have to be my son’s game?
Good thing my son didn’t notice I wasn’t there for most of the game. To him, I was a proud dad clapping frantically on the bleacher when their team won.
Lesson from this week: check if my son has a game today before getting comfortable in my office sipping coffee after a day’s work.
